DECA Welcome

Good afternoon!

HRHS DECA is hosting the Spring blood drive on Tuesday, March 21 from 8am – 1pm in the auxiliary gym.

You will receive an awesome Good Vibes T-Shirt and snacks, plus the great feeling that you helped someone in need!

APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED!
Students can make their appointment at  https://donate.thebloodconnection.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/208427

  • You must bring a photo ID to donate (can be a school ID, driver’s license or TBC donor card).
  • You must weigh at least 110 lbs.
  • Be sure to eat a good meal and hydrate the day of your donation!

Age requirements:

  • 17+ can donate.
  • If you are 16, you can donate if you bring a printed/signed parental consent form (pick up in room 701)
  • 14 and 15 year olds are unable to donate, but can still help by spreading the word and encouraging others!

Welcome to HRHS DECA!

DECA is an international student organization that prepares emerging leaders for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and business management.

HRHS DECA’s 2022 mission is to support high-achieving students in their cultivation of 21st Century Skills, increase their civic involvement in the Cabarrus County/Harrisburg community, and prepare them for the professional world through experiential learning.

DECA is an amazing experience that provides opportunities for leadership growth, skill development, camaraderie and relationship building, opportunities to serve others through community service, and travel opportunities to compete against other DECA members from all over the world!

NOTE: DECA membership is closed for the 2022-2023 school year. Membership will open again in August 2023

HRHS DECA FUN FACTS

  • The 2022-2023 school year is our 7th year as a DECA Chapter (formed in 2016)
  • HRHS DECA is a student-led organization, spearheaded by our 7-member officer team that leads our chapter's annual events and initiatives
  • Our chapter has grown each year and consists of more than 130 members!
  • We've had 3 HRHS DECA members serve as a State Officer for NC DECA
  • We've also had 1 HRHS DECA member go on to serve as Executive President of DECA Inc. after high school!
