GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Hickory Ridge Festival of Bands will be held on the campus of Hickory Ridge High School on Saturday, September 30, 2023.  The show will offer caption judging (music, marching, effect).

Hickory Ridge High School is located just over the Cabarrus County line from Charlotte. We are easily reached from I-485 and NC-49.  We are also a short distance from I-85. 

Our competition begins in the early afternoon, making it possible for you to perform in the morning at another location.  We will partner with the Mt. Pleasant Showcase of Champions this year and work diligently to make the schedule work for any band performing in both events.

Registration space is limited and performance order is determined by postmark date of the registration check or the timestamp of the online payment, with the earliest postmark date/timestamp performing last in the class.

Classification is based upon the total number of winds.  After the registration deadline, class sizes (1A-4A) will be established to create equity among the classes.

          Overall Class Placement: 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each class

          Music Performance: 1st and 2nd in each class

          Visual Performance: 1st and 2nd in each class

          Overall Effect: 1st and 2nd in each class

          Percussion: 1st and 2nd in each class

          Guard: 1st and 2nd in each class

          Drum Major: 1st and 2nd in each class

          Esprit de Corps Award

          Division I and Division II Grand Champion

REGISTRATION:

Registration will be $100.00 per band. Registration can be completed online by filling out the form at the bottom of this page, but performance order will be based on postmark of the mailed registration fee, not the completion timestamp of the online form.
