Harrisburg Youth Council
2026-2027 Application Period
May 1st to May 31st 
The mission of the Town of Harrisburg Youth Council is to increase and promote civic engagement while empowering the youth of the Town of Harrisburg. Members have a unique opportunity to learn more about community and local government operations through educational sessions and community service projects. 
Application Requirements - 

  • Must be enrolled in 9th to 12th grade at a Cabarrus County public, private, or home school program
  • Must reside within Harrisburg town limits
  • Complete online application form by May 31st , 2026
  • Provide two references (teacher, coach, advisor, etc)

Competitive applicants will be invited for interviews in the summer, with final selectins for the 30 slots available made in July.
